He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Flood and Helen (Thompson) Flood and his son Dennis Flood. Later he worked for and retired from McDonnell Douglass. He then started his own HVAC business that he ran for some years. Richard was Honorably Discharged after serving his country for many years in the United States Air Force. He loved spending time: fishing, traveling, and working on any type of side projects he could find, but most importantly he loved spending time with his family and friends.
